Communications Director

Angela Alsobrooks for Senate is seeking a Communications Director to join a growing team.

‍

This Senate seat is pivotal to ensuring that Democrats keep the Senate this November. Ideal candidates should be highly organized, efficient, and capable of showing leadership in a fast-paced environment.

‍

As Communications Director, you will lead a robust communications team that will be responsible for executing an aggressive earned communications program.

‍

Responsibilities:

• Craft and implement a statewide communications strategy in collaboration with senior campaign leadership. Think proactively and creatively about the campaign's communications tactics, finding new ways to reach voters.
• Prepare and execute short and long-term communications plans.
• Lead a communications team that will drive the narrative of this race and Angela’s candidacy
• Quickly and efficiently work to handle incoming press requests and rapid response needs 
• Maintains strong relationships with state and national press corps

Qualifications:

• At least 3-4 years of political communications experience, including at least one (1) campaign cycle in a senior communications role
• Experience managing and leading a team 
• Commitment to organization and effective project management
• Strong writing skills, attention to detail, and passion for the work
• Ability to multitask and work in fast-paced environment

Employment Type: Full-time

Compensation: Commensurate with experience

Anticipated Start Date: As soon as possible

Location: Largo, Maryland
