Deputy Research Director

Angela Alsobrooks for Senate is seeking a Deputy Research Director to join a growing team.

 This Senate seat is pivotal to ensuring that Democrats keep the Senate this November. Ideal candidates should be highly organized, efficient, and capable of showing leadership in a fast-paced environment.

This position is based in Largo, Maryland and reports directly to the Research Director.

‍

Responsibilities 

• Conduct long and short-term research projects using public records, news clips, campaign finance reports, personal financial disclosures, and other sources. 
• Write rapid response documents on tight timelines with precision and attention to detail.
• Contribute to content approvals, vetting projects, opposition research, and other daily research tasks. 
• Support the communications, finance, digital, political, and consultant teams as necessary, ensuring the accuracy of all campaign communications.

Qualifications

• At least one cycle of campaign or political committee research department experience strongly preferred. Experience with non-political research methods will also be considered;

• Prior experience conducting public records research, including experience with LexisNexis and FEC searches.
• Flexibility to quickly change projects in a fast-paced environment and work with different members of the research team;
• Strong written and verbal communication skills;
• Highly organized and strong attention to detail.
