Digital Content Strategist

Angela Alsobrooks for Senate is seeking a Digital Content Strategist to join a growing digital team for the 2024 campaign cycle.

The Digital Content Strategist will work with the Digital Director to support the development and execution of a successful multi-platform content program for County Executive Alsobrooks’ campaign for US Senate. Ideal candidates will be self-starters with big ideas and the commitment to seeing them through.

The position is full-time and in-person with an ASAP start date.

‍

Duties include (but are not limited to):

• Write compelling, creative, and engaging copy for all social media channels.
• Work with the Digital Director to develop and maintain a social media content calendar that supports the campaign’s overall goals.
• Design compelling graphics and other design content for social media 
• Build relationships with online communities and influencers.
• Stay on top of the latest social media trends and bring new ideas to the table.
• Analyze social media insights to inform recommendations for content creation.
• Other duties as needed and assigned within and outside of the digital department.

Qualifications 

• 1-2 years of experience managing social media platforms for a candidate, organization, or brand. Electoral or political experience a plus, but not required. 
• Exceptional writing skills with strong attention to detail, grammar and punctuation.
• Interest in and knowledge of Democratic politics and internet trends.
• Familiarity with Tiktok and vertical platform videos. 
• Familiarity with basic video editing preferred, but not required. 
• Familiarity with basic graphic design editing software preferred, but not required.

Compensation: Commensurate with experience
