Multimedia Producer

Angela Alsobrooks for Senate is seeking an Multimedia Producer to join a growing digital team for the 2024 campaign cycle.

The Multimedia Producer will be responsible for filming County Executive Alsobrooks, surrogates, and supporters on the campaign trail, developing video concepts, editing footage to reinforce core messaging priorities, and capturing the enthusiasm behind the campaign. Ideal candidates will bring a strong creative perspective with a demonstrated ability to tell compelling stories and an understanding of capturing and creating content for online engagement.

The position is full-time and in-person with an ASAP start date.

Duties include (but are not limited to):

• Identify and conceptualize ideas for video content that reinforce the campaign’s core messaging.
• Script, produce, and edit video content, including long format videos for Youtube and Facebook, short format vertical videos for TikTok and IG Reels, as well as rapid response video and motion graphics assets. 
• Film and photograph the candidate on the road and serve as the lead on DTC videos. Execute high-quality, impactful photographs and video at campaign events, rallies, and other relevant activities. 
• Help produce video and graphic assets for other departments as needed. 
• Manage and organize all video assets in an accessible way for internal and external use. 
• Keep a pulse on the latest social media trends and bring new ideas to the table for visual content. 
• Other duties as needed and assigned within and outside of the digital department.

Qualifications 

• 2-3 years of experience filming, editing, and producing videos.
• Campaign or issue-based experience is preferred, but not required
• Experience creating digital content for social media channels, and an understanding of how to create optimized content for each channel.
• Experience managing a principal while gathering visual content.
• Proficiency with Adobe Premiere, Adobe After Effects, or other leading video editing software.
• Knowledge on encoding formats, embedding, export settings, aspect ratios, and frame rates. 
• Experience with color-correction, camera, lenses, film, and photography lighting. 
• Flexibility, patience, empathy, and willingness to adapt quickly and easily.
• Comfort with a flexible schedule, valid driver’s license and reliable access to a vehicle, as this role will require regular travel.
